Richard B. Cheney a prominent public servant and a businessman is vice president of the United States. Cheney was a familiar name in Washington's political scene. George W. Bush will be the 4th U.S. President. Bush chose Cheney to be his vice-presidential running mate in July 2000 citing his expertise and wisdom. Dick Cheney, who served as the United States as secretary and chief of staff during the presidency and also in Congress is a tremendous serving our country. He's a man of integrity whom is admired by Republicans and Democrats. Cheney says the role he plays within the administration as one of an honest but professional advisor to Bush. Cheney, who accepted the Republican Vice Presidential nominating in 2007 said he was looking forward to working under a president who is able to work across party lines and collaborate with rival political parties through goodwill and a shared goal. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on the 30th of January, 1941 in Lincoln Nebraska. He was moved to Casper, Wyoming with his family when he was 13. His father, who was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture was the director of the conservation district in Casper.
